Every article on this site is published under one byline: Detail Sander Guide Editorial. We would rather be clear about that than invent a masthead of experts.
What the byline means
The Detail Sander Guide Editorial byline covers the research, writing, editing and updating of every guide on the site. Each article is checked against the standards in our Editorial Policy before it is published and whenever it is updated.
What we do not claim
- We do not present invented authors, credentials or job titles.
- We do not claim lab testing, timed trials or side-by-side measurements that were not carried out.
- We do not publish star ratings or scores, and we do not copy Amazon customer ratings or reviews.
If a guide ever includes first-hand use of a specific tool, it will say so explicitly in that guide. Otherwise, assume the recommendation is based on the research process described in How We Research.
Contributing
We welcome first-hand experience from readers — project photos, long-term ownership notes, or a correction from someone who uses a tool every day. Contributions are credited to the contributor by name, with their permission. Get in touch if you would like to contribute.
